We will be in St Thomas in mid May on Carnival Elation. We have 12 hours ashore. I would appreciate ANY help from some experienced cruisers with knowledge about St Thomas/ St Johns. 1. Is transportation (cabs,shuttles) easily accesible from the port without booking thru Carnival?? 2. How far is it from the port to the best shopping areas on St Thomas?? 3. Is it possible to do some shopping AND get over to St Johns for a visit to Trunk Bay?? 4. If you had 12 hours..... what would you recommend to a first timer?? Thank you!!
