Do you need to book an excursion to see St Maarten?

been a few years for us but on shore we got in with two other couples and did a Van saw island and went to Orient Beach before he brought us to ship

Love orient beach that’s our #1 destination when on St Maarten

2 things to know at orient beach. 1. be mindful that orient beach has a clothing optional section. I believe it is to the right when you enter, to the left is regular however some people do walk the entire length of the beach with out clothing. 2. beach chairs cost money and really you just can't lay your towel down anywhere there are a lot of spots that charge a fee to do this.

For me the best day out in St Maarten is Maho Beach to watch the aircraft land and take off! It's great fun!
