Smoking side of the Grand Princess

I was just reading in a different thread that said some ships have a smoking and non-smoking side on the open decks. Is this the case with the Grand? Do you know which is which?

Thanks in advance.

There is a smoking section on the Grand on Lido deck (pools & buffet deck). Just like every other Princess ship I have been on it is always on the port (left) side of the ship. It is easy to figure out because it is the side with ashtrays on the tables. Starboard (right) side has mini "no smoking" signs placed on all the tables. As for the other decks I am really not sure, never really noticed.

Thanks Snowblower.
We are booked on the Aloha deck port side. Both of us are non-smokers, do you have any idea if we will notice the smoke from above on our balcony? Or should we consider trying to change our stateroom assignments?

No, not at all. Don't change your room assignment because of this. Unless you sit right in the middle of them in the puffing section you won't notice at all. We are non-smokers too!!!! Can't stand second-hand smoke!!!! FYI, Aloha deck is below Lido and Lido is "glassed" in from floor to ceiling......

One thing I noticed about the Grand (at least when I was there in December), was that the smoking side was inconsistent. By the end of the week, my mom would just look for ashtrays to tell her she could smoke - in some areas they were on one side of the ship, but in a different area, or a different deck, they were on the other side. We never could figure it out, we thought we were losing our mind until we realized it.
