I noticed when I was on the Inspiration a few weeks ago, that the Lido decks were full of smokers. It seemed no matter where we went, someone was smoking next to us. I always was under the impression that one side of the deck was smoking and one was no smoking but this didn't seem to be the case. I noticed a few smokers were kind enough to walk to the rail while they smoked then returned to their deck chair after putting out their smoke.
We left the piano bar one night due to the heavy smoke, but noticed the next time that, the area at the piano had no smoking signs posted. This is where we sat then next night. That night those at the bar that wanted to smoke moved to the back of the Piano Bar to light up. It does make it rather uncomfortable for non smokers to go into the bars and lounges due to the smoke. I had trouble doing this at home also, not just on a cruise, so not picking on the cruise lines.
We all have rights, this is what's great about the country we live in. Smokers should have a place that they can smoke but the Non smokers should also be able to enjoy some of the public areas without dealing with the smoke. LOL guess they can't make everyone happy all the time.
