I wanted to share with you the best experience of my cruise. We're from AZ and had the best time on our recent cruise to Alaska. We had many good experiences with shore excursions but the best was in Sitka with Captain Paul Davis. We decided to go with him on a marine wildlife tour on his boat. It was a 2 hr charter and had only 4 people. We had an amazing time viewing sea otters, seals on a rock, whales and St Lazaria Island and its puffins. The captain knew his way around and was very knowledgeable, as he is a year round local and geologist. We were amazed at how close we were able to view these creatures and our pictures were amazing.
