Carnival does put your tips on your S&S card. The amount is $9.75 per day per person, which is broken down to $3.50 for room steward, $5.50 for dining room wait staff, and $0.75 for alternate dining staff. On some ships Carnival provides you with an envelope for the Maitre d' if you so wish to tip him. Also 15% is added to your bar tabs. You can go to the pursers desk and adjust your tips up or down or have them removed and tip in cash.
