Thank you for such a stimulating review.  I had to read it all - even if it meant delaying some chores!  We just returned from out first cruise with NCL, aboard the Pearl, and I was nodding my head in agreement at so many of your on board experiences.  We have only visited the Gatun lock and have not transited the Canal - Thanks for sharing!
