May he Rest in Peace.
We had a brief, but loud, rain at 5:45 a.m. Enough to wake me up. It didn't last too long at all. The "Shells" on the Maple trees out in the front of the house got washed off the buds. Once the sun dries them up, I'll use the leaf blower to get them off the sidewalk and driveway. They're everywher!
Lee: Hope you boys get that basement done. I'd love to know just how many
times the basement bedroom will be used!
Mike: So happy to read that you had a lovely Easter Sunday with family around.
Karen: I wasn't able to tune in on your church service, but I know your choir did a good job as always. Is there going to be a Thank You celebration for the retiring choir director/organist?
We had a lovely "lunch/early dinner" dinner with the kids and Manny. Everything went off perfectly. It had to be at 1:00pm because Mark needed to back home early enough to get packed for his business trip to Texas. (I hate when he has to fly on these trips. Makes me nervous with all that's going on with planes lately)
Art is almost done with his basement floor painting project. I give me EXTRA CREDIT for taking on a job like that at his age! Lots of moving of "STUFF" and sorting some "STUFF" to get thrown out on the next trash day.
Mike: We have a ROBIN's NEST on one of the wood ledges Art put in the corner under the overhang years ago. The Robins worked on the nest all the time we were in the dining room. We could see them flying back and forth. They had that nest all rounded out and rimmed up by the time we were cleaning up the dishes off the table. AMAZING BIRDS.
Later all. Enjoy the day.
