How the weather forecasters like to put a happy spin on their forecasts.
It was minus 12 degrees here yesterday morning with a windchill of minus 25 degrees. On the local news yesterday they said, "It's going to warm up. We'll soon get up to freezing". What they didn't mention is that it won't happen till the weekend. Right now it's 12 degrees, so I guess that we are suppose to think of it as a 24 degree jump in temperature.
I learned something new about Florida yesterday, KC. I forget what news network it was, but they said the entire State of Florida only has 9 snowplows. I'd bet that Massillon has that many.
By the sounds of it Lee, you could have made a few bucks down there in the Panhandle if only you'd have packed your snow-blower.
Don't put your tongue on the flagpole, K2!
Sadly Mike, my prostate test didn't go well yesterday. And for the 3rd time when the catheter was removed I was unable to urinate on my own. So that thing is back in. And now I've got surgery in a couple of weeks. (It's not every day that a camera is shoved up my flutter-valve and a different camera is sent up my ding-a-ling.)
There's a big long name for that surgery, but most people know it as the "Roto-Rooter" surgery. They pretty much cut a wider canal through the prostate for the urine to travel through it easier. A one night hospital stay.
Do I know how to party, or what?
And now for the bird poop story. It was nutsy cold yesterday, but most of the day the sun was out.
When we got back from the doctor's office visit yesterday afternoon, when we pulled in the drive we both noticed lots and lots of small spots on the front porch and the walkway to the driveway. So when we got out of the car we went to see what these spots were.
It turned out to be gobs of bird-poop. What the heck is that all about???
We THINK we figured it out.
Kathi had mentioned early that when she checked on the mail earlier in the day that a bunch of birds flew away when she opened up the front door, a couple of times.
Below freezing temperatures, but the sun warmed up the cement porch and sidewalk, and the birds were just sitting on the cement to stay warm.
Sitting and shi##ing.
I'll have to ask Kathi if she took a picture.
