Finally this computer works. A couple of hours ago it nor the TV worked.
Good Sunday morning, fellow sinners. Although I've always found that the sinners are more fun.
I'm going to answer your question first, Mike; The two autistic, tall grandsons are both teenagers in high school. It was very nice to hear them gabbing yesterday as they made Christmas cookies. Having normal conversations.
They've both mentioned in the past that since they are "different", most people avoid them which makes them feel isolated. But when here they feel comfortable to talk and give their opinions rather than just stay silent like they normally do when out in public.
It's pleasing to us and pleasing to them that here they feel safe and just part of the group.
It has got to be such a horrible experience to be a teenager and be shunned by other kids AND adults.
Thanks K2 for explaining Lee's advent calendar, which was about coffee. I couldn't figure it out from the picture.
Lee; On our trip to the USS Arizona Memorial we too were struck by how reverent people acted. In hushed tones, as if they were in a funeral home. I've never been to the Vietnam Memorial even though it was the era when I was in the service.
If I remember right KC, this is the happy week when you get to see more clearly. It'll be such a happy day.
HEAT WAVE....Could we actually get into the 40's today???
