Good morning! Figured I better get on here now before things get crazy around here.
I really hate relying on other people! Grandson was supposed to pick up chiars from our friends. Did he do it? Of course not. Now that's something else for Bert to have to do today.
Jimmy's sisters will be coming early to help decorate and fix food. Missy kept telling me yesterday to put them to work and that Bert & I shouldn't do anything getting ready. Turns out that Jimmy's one sister is flying in from Texas and her plane doesn't arrive until noon. Then it will take them over an hour to get here. Had we waited for them, we'd have had a problem finishing everything. Right now Bert is doing the cleaning that Missy was supposed to do yesterday, but never got to.
I may yet just take myself off to the bedroom with a bottle of wine and forget about everything! You know I really won't though.
We don't have Catholic Church fish fries on Fridays during Lent, so Bert and I went to the Grille last night and had their salmon special. It really was pretty good and thankfully, there were no leftovers. We ate out on the patio and it was perfect - not too hot and no wind. Then Bert pushed me all the way out to the end of the boardwalk to the gazibo. Haven't been out there for quite a while.
The repair they have to do on our community dam is going to take quite a while to do and will be very complicated. In the meantime, due to the drop in our lake, there's no boating allowed. A number of people pulled their boats out of the water, so they can use them on Lake Toho while repairs are being done. I can just imagine how much this is going to cost. I just ope they don't decide to pass the cost on to residents or there will be a major war!!
Jimmy is so pi$$ed at Missy and telling everyone that he arranged a baby shower for her when she was pregnant with Nate and now she's doing nothing for his 50th birthday! We are all cracking up over this. Can't wait until tonight and to see his reaction!
Time to run and get to work. Hopefully, Missy will be able to sneak away and come help. Have a fantastic day, no matter what you are doing! I'll tell you all about the party tomorrow.
