The last day or two, Rita and I have had slight coughing and sneezing, so my doctor did a nasal swab and the report showed that I was negative for Covid but positive for flu, so Tylenol and frequent liquids are the order of the day. Symptoms are already easing and I actually slept a bit better last night.
I"m beginning to share Dave's enthusiasm for watching taped episodes of TV programs and being able to zoom past the commercials. I think I counted almost 15 commercials in one commercial break for TAR which we watched last night. Speaking of TAR, does anyone else find this season's shows far less interesting and the road blocks boring than in the past? Usually they take the contestants to places that spark my interest but not this year and I have to wonder how well received the female contestants have felt in the Middle East, even a country as supposedly liberal towards women as Jordan.
Can't wait for Election Day and the end of those annoying political ads, especially the ones campaigning against some of the initiatives on the ballot, which baldly misrepresent the measure, and the political ones that the ultra-right pols are attacking democratic candidates. Truth in Advertising apparently isn't necessary when running for office.
Submitted our mail in ballots yesterday, so all those ads will be even more wasted on us. Congratulations, by the way, to Kathie for becoming a poll worker, Dave. She is performing a very important but frequently undervalued task. Hope she is treated with the respect she deserves.
Temperature two days ago was 70 degrees but today and tomorrow are due to be at least 20 degrees cooler. No wonder there is an uptick in the number of respiratory infections and flu.
