Good morning!  Got a much better night's sleep last night, except for waking up to use the bathroom, that is.

Another **PERFECT** Florida day ahead but with a slight chance of rain later in the day.  I'm hoping that before it's time to start dinner tonight we'll get a chance to repeat yesterday afternoon - a warm (87) afternoon on our lanai drinking Tequila Sunrises!  It's a rough life, but someone has to do it!

Dave - Glad you got some more of your lemon pie ice cream.  I hope Kathi is feeling better now.  I too have seen the apple slicers like that.  Ours does8 slices.

Kathie - Good for you being so ambitious making those pizzelles.  I do like to make them around the holidays.  Unlike you and Dave, I really do like the anise flavor.  Reminds me of the things Bert's mother used to make around Christmas.

Your tree colors are so beautiful.  That's about the only thing I miss from up north seeing all those beautiful colors.  We have our fall colors here too ... it's called BROWN and usually happens in January!

I'm with you about all the negative campaigning on TV right now.  I'm actually looking forward to our usual evening car commercials one after another.  Better than all this nastiness.

Bill - Good for you getting in and out of the doctor's office so fast.  I love when that happens.  Most of mine are pretty prompt.   I usually like to book appointments around 1:00.  They're just coming back from lunch and there's not a big backup in the waiting room.  Usually by the time I leave, the waiting room is full.

Nancy - Much too early to be wrapping Christmas presents.  Around this time I start looking at stuff, but don't buy anything.  We've gotten to the point where we just give the kids money and let them do the shopping for their kids and for themselves.  They do bring the gifts here for me to wrap, so I feel like we get the best of both worlds without the hassle of fighting the mobs in the stores.

M&J and company are coming for dinner tonight.  It's time for some shrimp and sausage Cajun food with veggies all done in the oven.  Hardest part is cutting it all up.  Once again, I will be doing 2 sheet pans full.   I've already made dessert - angelfood cake with crushed pineapples.  Easiest cake ever!!

Now though it's time for a cup of coffee and to read the newspaper.
