Talked with my brother & Sil...it is stage 4...they think it started in her colon & then spread to her liver....the are trying to schedule a PET scan to see if it's anywhere else in her body...but they are running into problems as she is not mobile and cannot help move herself at all...and the tests & treatments will be done on an outpatient basis...which means they will have to pay for medical transport from their house to the test/treatment site every time she has an appt.I never realized how difficult & challenging it is for a person with a disability to receive even the most basic medical care...
