Back to reality sucks!Today I went to Town Hall and paid my auto excise tax that was returned by the Post Office because the address on the return envelope sent to me by the Town was incorrect. I also paid the quarterly property tax because the check I sent to the town in January never cleared my bank so is off wandering in some alternate universe. After that Rita and I went to my primary care's office only to find that my appointment is for tomorrow not today. Then we went to an appliance store and found a replacement dishwasher that gets high ratings. They have someone who will deliver and install the machine and take the old one away. Naturally he can't schedule the delivery and installation until late this month, but we have survived this long and can handle another few weeks. Went to a new meat market for some food items and then stopped at the Credit Union to handle some financial matters and ended up a our favorite Chinese Restaurant for a late lunch.I guess we were very fortunate to have made it home when we did as I hear that delayed or cancelled flights were even worse Saturday and Sunday and the problems continues into today.Pat, our son in law has gout and I remember that my boss used to get attacks of gout during Lent, strangely enough it was when he gave up drinking any alcoholic beverages for that 40 day period. Today and tomorrow are going to be the best weather days of the week and lots of rain is forecast for the rest of the week.
