Good morning, everyone! Sunny outside for now, but that rotten weather that's made its way through Texas and New Orleans is headed our way this evening and all through tomorrow. It definitely is very windy already. Time to make a run to Sam's for a case of wine to hunker down with. LOL
Lee - Sorry you're getting the rains this morning. Were you still able to take the dogs for their morning walk or did you just let them out into the yard? Rain and dogs are never a lot of fun.
Dave - I hope there is nothing seriously wrong with Kathi's car and that whatever it is will be an easy inexpensive fix, if needed.
Kathie -They use rebarb here too to reinforce and keep concrete from cracking. We have it under our lanai and in all the concrete block walls. I wonder why they didn't put any down on Nancy's job. That was surprising.
It was so nice going out for dinner last night, but there were some glitches. Outback was not that crowded when we got there, so were were seated immediately. First thing I didn't like was that the server brought our dinner while we were still eating our salad. Forgot to tell him not to put in dinner order until we were finished with the salad. I ordered a medium rare filet. Unfortunately, steak came medium. Server never came back to check on how our meals were until we were half way throgh eating. He offered to make another steak, but by that time I was pretty well finished with the one I had. His reaction then was just to say sorry and move away. Outback used to always have a manager walk around and check with customers satisfaction with their meals. Not last night. It definitely was not a Manny's steak! Even though it wasn't a perfect experience, we were just glad to be eating out without the rest of our crew. Next venture out will be to Bonefish one of these days.
Got Advent Health coming this afternoon for occupational therapy. Fun! Fun! Nothing much else going on around here today.
