A very quick check in from Smyrna, GA. Thanks for all your good wishes for our journey.
We were a little later starting off than usual. Monitoring the radar it looked like HEAVY rain. They were right. Thanks to a tractor trailer “crash” in Ocala that seemed to be caused by Karen’s tornado we sat on I75. It added about 3 hours to the day.
I used the express lanes in Atlanta and cut up 275. Totally missed the ever present mess on I75 through Atlanta.
One positive was finding a station on the FM dial that played a lot of really good 70’s and 80’s tunes. Hardly a commercial either.
Temps you say? It was the mid 70’s in Kissimmee when we pulled out. It’s 30F here right now.
Pat, I’m glad you’re home but sorry to hear about your test results. You should have studied harder for the test instead of frolicking on that cruise.
Will they put you on a statin? That’s my before bed pill.
So sorry to read about your loss Kathie. Frustrating for everyone that at this point the cause is not known. I think that you should have a fantastic birthday! Celebrate for those who aren’t around to celebrate their own day!
Hope fully tomorrow will be a better travel day. We have Covid tests scheduled at Walgreens in Lexington. They say results in 24 hours. As a backup we will stop in Monroe, MI at the Welcome Centre on Monday where they say results are turned around in an hour or less. I guess we’ll see.
Good night and extra thoughts and prayers going out to all of you.
