Good morning, everyone!  Is it still morning?  I feel like I have been up for hours already.  We had to get up early this morning to take the kids to school, but I woke up hearing their parents getting ready to leave around 5.  So at this point, I'm ready for a nap, I wish!!

Got a few things to do today to get ready for the invasion tonight.  I need to delay dinner a bit to give Missy and Elaine enough time to get home from work before finishing up dinner.  To keep the guys and kids happy, I'm going to make a Velvetta cheese log and a veggie tray, which I have to cut up all the veggies for.

I am just sick over all those American service personnel being killed yesterday along with so many Afghans.  Fighting in a country that we never belonged in has wasted so many lives.  It's just like Vietnam, unfortunately.  They just never learn and so many lives are lost. :(

Dave  - Good idea to spray those weeds before it gets too hot.  Bert picked up 3 bags of topsoil with fertilizer in it to put around the citrus tree mostly.  I need to use some for a new pot of basil.  The pot I have is pretty well dying at this point.  Soil has gotten too old and there is nothing left in the way of nutrients left in it.  Time for a re-do!

Kathie - I too would love to hear in what ways is the new priest opinionated?  Remind you of anyone?  Any decision yet on what you're going to do with the garage floor once it cools off a bit?

Karen - So what are you going to do today on this, your day to rest?  I just know you will come up with some chore or project.

Lee - So what's on tap for you today beyond taking the dogs for their daily walk?

Dinner at the Grille was pretty good last night.  We ate a lighter type dinner, as neither of us was very hungry.  It was a beautiful evening, but there really weren't many people there when we were, even though they are allowing Solivita residents to also eat at our Grille now.  Aside from the things I already mentioned, I don't have much to have to do until it gets close to dinner time when I'll have to put on my chef's hat.

Guess I'm going to get to the few things I have to do, so that I can sit down and watch one of my favorite shows that I recorded last night - Robert Irvine's Restaurant Impossible.  I know a lot of it is staged, but I love seeing how they transform some of these places.  Besides, it beats watching more news and getting depressed, right?

So have a good one, gang!  You know the rest ... :)
