We went for our ride out past Jills township to Oxford, MI. I wanted to go to a little shop on Main Street that has all kinds of things for the home. I saw it on Facebook and it turned out to be really cute. I ended up doing something I HARDLY EVER DO..... I bought a purse (not expensive) after only looking at it for 5 mins. That's unheard of for me. One I'm not a shopper and two it takes me forever to buy something for myself on a snap decision. I'll try and post the picture of it from my cell phone later. For some reason my pictures aren't hooked up to transfer to this laptop computer. Gotta look into that one day.
Then we drove back to Jill's little town and told her we were at the BEAN COFFEE SHOP. She was able to meet up with us and pointed out a restaurant that we could grab a light lunch at. Went back and got the yummy coffee and then headed home.
We did stop at the Peach Orchard and bought a 2qt carton of YUMMY PEACHES. You just have to buy them while in season. They disappear so fast.
Once home I get a phone call from our dear church President. She wanted to know if I was on board with buying stuff for the new priest's leased home. I said I would take care of the Kitchen and Bathroom with a friend from church that I know. We will go next Tuesday and buy all the things on a list I printed off from the computer. Dara has a 4-car garage and said we could put all the pkg's in one corner. YIPPEE. Works for me.
LEE: YES........we treat our priest WAY TOO good. He gets life & health insurance a cell phone allowance, gas allowance, a salary and a paid home to live in. He might not LIKE THE SIZE of this VERY SMALL house, but it's free with utilities included so he can't complain. If he doesn't like it he is more than welcome to go and "purchase" his own home.
We will be buying EVERYTHING you need in a new home. Crazy. He speaks with a Serbian accent and like all the crazy Serbian Priests I know is OPIONINATED!
He use to serve in Nashville, TN parish until he had to go back to Serbia because his lawyer didn't file the necessary papers for a permanent Green Card. So they went back and then re-applies and LUCKY FOR HIM he got another Visa. He lived in a small house with his brother and the brothers family for 10 months. So the LEASED home, as small as it is, should be fine.
He has a VAN. I sure hope we don't have to buy or lease another vehicle for him.
I could go on and on, but I don't want to bore you with these crazy church stories.
Karen: Thanks for posting the picture of WENDY in the pool. She had a nice smile on her face. I'm sure she was happy to be cooling off. You girls are so nice to invite her to join in with you.
Lee: Did you wear your SPECIAL Cardiac T-Shirt?? Anybody say anything?
Sorry you got the rain last night too. It was something else.
Pat: WOW.... I must try and remember to wish Bert a Happy Birthday tomorrow. He'll have a full house to help celebrate. How fun. Doesn't he get one of those special ICE CREAM CAKES?
I just went outside a few minutes ago and HOLY MOLEY it's like a BLAST FURNACE outside. Humidity must be 200%
Out of here.......you all have a fine Thursday.
