Good afternoon Folks!

The cardiologist was called to the hospital for an emergency this morning. The tech asked me if I wanted to get the Echo, EKG and the monitor set up today. Well, yes. I was only about an hour from start to finish. Again, now we wait.

And no, the package has not been found. I finally had to tell the supervisor who was giving me any number of excuses that she might be able to fool some of the customers but having retired after 35 years with the Canada Post I had heard them all. I may even invented some of them. It is a Minnie Mouse band for Lu-Ann's Apple Watch.

My group opened up this morning for second shots. Twice I got to the area to input my health card number and twice it came up as I was not eligible. Ive been on hold for almost 40 minutes.

Ya Dave, I wondered if an oyster bar was like a gay bar. You know. Caters to a certain clientele... We don't drink that much soda in a year. Maybe even two! Here's my song by the late Dan Fogelberg who lost a battle with prostate cancer at age 55. It's the sentiment that makes me think of Dad.

Great deal getting rid of the desk so quickly Karen. So "Nonnie" are you licensed to practice  aesthetician stuff in the state of FL?

Yes Pat, things sure have changed in hotels with COVID. I wonder if hotels will ever get back to simply popping in and tidying like they used to. Even before the pandemic Drury Inns would tidy daily but you had to request clean sheets and towels. If you didn't need them you received extra points on your account.

Kathie, next they will come along and widen the roads to accommodate access to the store. Clearly the person who approved the sale of the property doesn't live in your neighbourhood! Everything that pertains to the home is in short supply here too. Appliances are, ready for this, about 6 months before delivery. BBQ's and the such are in short supply as well. Outdoor furniture is being sold as quickly as the retailer's get it in. And many places can't get people to do "grunt work" like assembly of things from BBQ's to Bikes because they too make more sitting on their arses collecting the Canada Emergency Response Benefit (CERB) than they could if they were doing an honest day's work. I hope that cake doesn't melt in the heat we're expected to get tomorrow! 81F but it will feel like 86F!

I finally got someone to answer the phone! They simply picked up the line to advise me that the system had crashed, everyone was frozen out of the access and please try later or tomorrow. I asked if that could be the reason I was getting the "not eligible" notice. Her professional answer..."Maybe".

On that cheery note, we're off. Katie and Ave need their walks because, horror of horrors, Mom and Dad had other things to do first thing this morning.

You all be good, stay safe, and we'll see you tomorrow!
