Good morning, everyone, and happy Juneteenth! Goodie, another holiday to warm us up for the 4th of July.
Karen - Nice getting rid of that desk so fast. I see you've started another new sideline job giving manis and pedis! Don't forget to put that down on your resume. LOL
Hey BB, is an "oyster bar" a place where oysters go for a drink? Close, Dave, but no cigar. An oyster bar is where you go to drink and eat oysters. Had oysters Rockefeller first and then a dozen steamed oysters. They were by far the biggest oysters I have ever seen! I couldn't even finish them, so Bert & Jeff did that without too much coaxing. Tonight we are going to go light on dinner and just have pizza. Originally we had reservations at a French restaurant, but I suggested pizza instead as my appetite has not been the greatest lately and I would have wasted too much delicious food.
Kathie - You sure were ambitious already today doing bedclothes so early. What time did you get up? Have nice time tomorrow celebration both Father's Day and Art's birthday. We'll be doing the same thing at Brian's house tomorrow.
Lee - I hope all went well with your trip to the Heart Institute. Just that name is scary!
Bill - Has Rita come home yet and if not, when will she finally get home to see your new place?
Some little tidbits about the hotel we are staying at ... No longer do they come in to your room to make the bed and tidy the room up. You have to request room clean up when you want it. I want it today, as the garbage can is getting pretty full and the recycling can is also full. They do a continental breakfast in the morning, but it is over by 9, so we never get to take part in it. There is no pool at this hotel while all those around us have them, not that we were looking for a pool anyway. It's a Fairfield Inn, but older than the one we stayed at the other night. It's still a nice place Motel 6 by a mile!!!
OK That's it for me this morning. Bert's getting ready and we need to put a few things away before we go out today, if we're getting the room cleaned. I better get started on that job.
Have a fantastic Saturday, everyone, but remember not to let your guard down too much!
