So around 4:00 pm on Friday I drove up 24 Mile Rd (7 miles) to George & Marie's house to drop off a Blueberry-Lemon Loaf I made for them the other day. I had talked to Marie while she has been at her daughters the last 2 weeks around the clock and she said that George was suppose to drive over to be with them for 2 days. Great time to take over the Goodies.

Well, I get halfway up his driveway and I see George sitting on a chair and his face is FULL OF BLOOD! I stopped and opened the door and said "GEORGE ARE YOU ALRIGHT"? He said: "Yeah, why wouldn't I be?  I told him that his FACE WAS dripping in blood. He looked at me like I was nuts.  I told him to stay put and I ran into their kitchen and got wet paper toweling. I gently removed the blood that had started to get hard on his face and entire nose, chin, etc. I showed him and he said...."Oh I fell while working on the front flower bed. NO KIDDING!

I guess his legs don't bend like they use to and they buckled and he had no choice put to fall flat on his face. His hands weren't able to break the fall. George is a VERY VERY HEAVY PERSON! His glasses did the cutting of the bridge of his nose and a few other scratches. He was thankful for me cleaning him up. I stayed there about a 45 mins talking to him at the edge of his garage area. I wanted to make sure he didn't have a concussion.  He had me call Marie at their daughters. Like she needed ONE MORE THING TO WORRY ABOUT. She said she will be coming home Sat morning.  She hired a nurse to be with her daughter at night from 11:00pm to 7:00 am so she could get some sleep and not worry about anything bad happening to Mary.  Saturday and Sunday Mary's dear wonderful friend will take her Mom's place and be with Mary.

Now I know this was long and most likely nothing you folks really need to know about my friends, but I wanted to put it out there so we are GRATEFUL for what we are all able to do. And that we shouldn't do things we aren't suppose to do.

Marie is finally using her head and getting help with her daughter who is very very sick. I'm glad I was able to help George out. I'm glad we've been friends for a lifetime. Like back when we were youngsters. I just wish all this wasn't happening to such good people.

Okay, again........thanks for letting me type this all out. It helps me deal with what's going on and be more grateful for things in my life.

You all be very careful and know that I love you all like my own family. :)

Nite for now.

And goodnight to Tony & Marcia & Carl too. Watch over us "earthlings" please!
