Karen good to know you're still part of the LIVING! Thanks for stopping by. You know how this HUTCH worries about Wrabbits that are MIA!! Take care of yourself. And you might want to go get a SWAB TEST to see if you might have the Covid. Always good to know if you ever had it or didn't. I believe the test is FREE. Get better.
Okay, I managed to get 2 large drawers cleaned up. The one drawer that has ribbons, tissue paper, glue stick refills, a old (but still working) camera, charging cords, etc. Is now organized. At least I know what's in it right now! LOL The desk drawer wasn't bad, but I did manage to throw out a lot of OLD Carry-Out menus for Pizza places and a few restaurants. I noticed that all the prices on the Chinese carry-out menu went up $1.00 since last year. They do a bang up job on good food and deserve to raise their prices.
I have a 8" x 4" box full of Business cards to go through. I have dividers between sections to make it easier to find cards when I need a phone number off of them. But I know there are duplicates that can get thrown away.
After that I only have 2 small drawers in the desk area to clean out. One has sewing stuff in it like thread and scissors that needs to get sorted out. And the next one down from it has scotch tape and packaging tape and stamps for mail and sheets of return address tabs and various greeting cards. That one will take a little longer. I know there are old pictures and slides in the back of that drawer that need to find a home.....like the trash can.
The last drawer in that desk area (3rd one down) is where I put the PAID bills. It gets emptied and shredded every 6 months or so. If we ever re-do the kitchen some of those drawers will not be there. All they do is collect JUNK and PAPERs!..
Still waiting for a drawing and quote from the Kitchen contractor. He did call and said they were swamped with work and appreciated my being patient. I told him if he wants the job he has to be able to get it done before October. I don't want this dragging into the WINTER.
Lee: I know it has to be killing you to see others do work that you normally do, but you MUST get over that and work on getting your body strength back. Hope the bloodwork will be good news. I can't tell you how much CRAP I've had to go through since my cancer surgery. I just WILL NOT LET IT DRAG ME DOWN. I'm glad I'm still around and didn't have to have chemo like a lot of other people I know. So try and hang in there and get over not being able to do things. You'll have plenty of time to make up for it. First you have to heal. Heck, think about how long it takes for a PAPER-CUT to heal. And then multiply that times a thousand times. Are you getting my drift! Chill buddy. It hasn't been that long!
Out of here for now. Saw our Oriole again earlier. Eating away at the grape jelly in the feeder.
DAVE HAS KATHI PUT OUT THE ORIOLE FEEDER YET. GET IT OUT THERE. YOU'RE MISSING OUT ON GETTING SOME ORIOLES TRAVELING BACK FROM THE SOUTH TO STOP AND LIVE AT YOUR PLACE!!
