Good morning!  Getting a late start this morning.  I actually slept the entire night until 7:30 this morning.  Used the bathroom and decided to lie down for a few minutes while I wake up completely.  Next thing I knew, it was  going on 10 o'clock!  I guess I really needed that to recharge my internal battery.

Dave - That's an interesting mix you had for breakfast this morning.  I hope that was a fresh jar of horseradish.  That's always the spiciest.  Once the jar is open for a while, it kind of loses that pop of spice and gets too mellow.  That's why on a cruise I'll get prime rib with a good dollop of fresh horseradish.  That will clean out your sinuses and anything else that's clogged up!! LOL

Kathie - Have fun pitching stuff out of a kitchen draw.  Our kitchen draws are in pretty good shape.  We still have work to do on the cabinets under the drawers.  I've asked Bert a number of times to put in those pull out shelves, so I can find things in there.  So far, that's not happening.  There's still 5 of those cabinets we have to go through and figure out what gets saved and what gets tossed.

Lee - Your comment about how old we are is greatly appreciated and would get you a seat next to us anywhere.  Those cookies sound delicious and a great thing to put on a charcuterie board.  We've got a new cookie place that just opened not far from us.  Only problem is that their cookies are $10 each.   That may not last but the tourists might give them a try and keep them in business.

Our dinner last night was so good.  Manny's was not crowded at all, being it was a Tuesday night.  Tonight would be much more crowded as it's their famous BOGO fajita night.  We really didn't have to rush as there were plenty of seats available.  Ended up being there for over 2 hours.  So night 1 of my birthday week celebration is a wrap and now we have to decide what will be next.  Probably the Grille as they have a smoked brisket as the dinner special this week.  Tonight is going to be some lowly spaghetti leftovers from the other night.

Better get a move on and get lunch started.  Bert picked an absolutely perfect beefsteak tomato the other day which is just calling out to be placed on a BLT.  Too bad Bert pulled the kind of bacon I dislike out of the freezer.  It just doesn't cook up as well as Oscar Meyer does.  I pride myself on how crispy I can get the bacon and this other type usually goes from limp to burned in a heartbeat.  Oh well, I'll give it another try and hope for the best.  After lunch we have to make a run to Publix to pick up a few things and then it will be a quiet rest of the day.

Have a good one, everyone, and happy hump day to all you fine folks! :)
