Return of the Cruising Bunny's....

Good HOT afternoon!

Lee, my guess is Kathie is over keeping an eye on the work being done across the street. How was the Costco adverture?

Kathie, your margarita was probably stronger & better than a restaraunt one any day! I've never had Lebanese food before, what is it like?

Hi Mike, did you get your margarita yesterday?

Lots of running around for me today, I went out this morning before church & picked up a pretty outfit for Wendy for Mother's Day, we are getting together here on Friday for lunch.
Then after church Pamela & I went out for breakfast, and she insisted on buying my meal today, which was very sweet of her.
After that I headed to Barb's for her dressing change & then to Walmart to pick up the food for Friday, whew, fruit right now is very expensive, especially strawberries and they didn't even look very ripe, $48 later I still needed to go to Aldi and pick up strawberries & a pineapple, the berries looked a little better there, but still not super red, I hope they are sweet enough.
A/C is chugging away here too, it was 86 in the house when I got home, I tried to just open the doors & turn on the ceiling fan, but it was just to hot. Off to fix a salad for dinner & relax!

Ah, Costco. In my ever humble opinion they should stick all of the sample people in one corner, enforce a one sample per person limit AND make them eat it anywhere other than doddling down the center of the aisles. Other than that, Lu-Ann’s new glasses are cute on her.
Do you ever slow down Karen? I can’t even begin to think of all of the folks your kindness influences in a positive way.
The strawberries here are a poor excuse for what we were getting in FL. They sound a lot like yours.
I’ve never had Lebanese food either. I hope it was authentic or REAL Lebanese cuisine. Our neighbour had us over for Thai food one evening. She toned the spice down a bit for us but it was still spicy. Delicious and flavourful but a little more heat than I’m accustomed to.
High to Kathie and Mike.

Karen you must have a Drone flying over our house since you know BOTH Art & I would check out the pool construction across the street.
Early this morning they were out there with the Backhoe and front loaders filling 18 wheeler dump trucks. They filled 4 of those huge trucks. The backhoe is still piling up more dirt for the next load. Another 18 wheeler just pulled up!

 They sure do work late hours. It’s 7:30 pm here now.

I was able to grill a piece of Salmon that I got for a major bargain from Krogers.

I bet Lu-Anns glasses look perfect on her. She’s such a cutie to begin with.

I have a story about my trip to Krogers today, but this iPad is giving me some “hic-up’s” right now.

Karen I hope Barb is doing alright.

Okay, before this post disappears I’m closing down.

Later gang.

Lee: YES.... this is the same house that removed the above ground pool. They must have money growing on a few of the tree's they didn't have cut down. They haven't even started this project and it's got to be a fortune! Oh well, we all know you sure don't get very many nice days here in Michigan to enjoy a pool!

Story Hour:
The Kroger trip was just that a TRIP!
So I went to Kroger's picked up a few things. Used the self-check-out area. Got through most of my basket without any issues and then had a small issue with one of the items I was scanning. I called over the NICE LADY and she said "not a problem". She clicked a few things and said "Okay, just continue". So that's what I did. Then all of a sudden there was a message on the screen that said
VIDEO NOW ON! I've never in all my years using these machines saw this on a screen. I called over the "nice lady" and she looked about as puzzled as I did. She did a few clicks and entered a few numbers and then said if I was done to just follow the usual instructions to pay. OKAY.... I take my credit card and and put it in the machine and when it said 'REMOVE CARD' that's what I did. Took the receipt and filled the small basket with my bags of groceries and went on my merry way. When I got in the car I wanted to see how many FUEL REWARDS I made on the purchases, and I saw that the bill did not show half of what I bought. When I got home I checked how many items the receipt showed and how many I actually had. I added up $47 (give or take a few cents) and the receipt said $24.13! Whatever the NICE LADY did to that machine gave me $22.87 worth of free groceries. I was in awe! And NO.... I didn't take back the items to the store for any adjustment. I even got a 5% credit for a Special Senior Citizens thing Kroger had going for one day only.

That's the end of my long boring story.
(I'd love to know what the lady did to make that machine give me such a break) :emoticon 0102 bigsmile: :emoticon 0122 itwasntme:

Wonder just what time the POOL CREW will start up on Thursday?

Sleepy Good Night GIF

Good morning. Last night the guessers said it would be 34F this morning. I told Ava I didn’t think we’d be going out early. Well, it was a lovely 46F when we got up so off we went.
So Kathie, what Krogers will you be going to now that they have you on video “scamming” groceries? :emoticon 0102 bigsmile: You’ll have to wear a mask just like during COVID. Maybe even send Art in to see if you are on any “wanted” posters! You’re so right about how short the pool season is here unless you have big bucks to heat the pool during the shoulder months! That seems like an awful lot of dirt even for an inground pool.
Yes, Lu-Ann’s glasses are quite cute on her. And that brings me to my morning rant or story time…

The young lady who served us at the eyeglass counter was very nice. She was very helpful ensuring the glasses fit properly. She was also a very pretty girl. Which left me wondering WHY had she covered herself with tattoos? All down one arm, down her throat (and I’m sure the design carried on below her collar) and the back of her other hand that I could see. I don’t know about her back and legs. I just don’t get it. I guess I do suffer from “oldfartitis” but I just don’t get the seeming need to cover one’s self in tattoos. Especially young ladies.
OK, as you were.
Karen, Mike…I hope you all have a fantastic Thursday!

Tired Good Morning GIF by Pudgy Penguins
TIME TO START THE DAY. (Thursday)
The workers were at it AGAIN at 8:25 a.m. sharp! Lots of measuring going on when I looked out the front window. I think they're waiting for the HUGE 18 wheeler to come so they can load another big hill of dirt. Seems like this POOL is going to be a DEEP one! The owner is very tall.... 6ft 4" if not taller, so he might need a really DEEP end for diving into the pool!
Fun Swimming GIF by NordisGroup
Time will tell.
Nothing planned here today.
I have the dining room table all ready to spread PAPERWORK on it. I want to get copies of ALL our important papers dealing with any kind of monetary issues put in one binder with Account numbers, phone numbers, etc. Once I get this done, I think I'll rest better knowing if anything happens to either of us there won't be a lot of hunting going on to find numbers of accounts etc.
Time is NOT on our side, even though we think we'll live forever! DUH!! Now isn't that a happy way to start a day! :emoticon 0102 bigsmile: :emoticon 0136 giggle:
Now this doesn't mean I'll be working on this anytime soon. Just in the gathering stage on rainy days!
I want to go outside and plant 4 Dalia bulbs the kids bought me for my birthday.

You all have a good day.

This is the backyard pool two doors down from us Kathie. It is 14’x28’ and of course heated. I got the picture from the real estate listing. The house went up last Friday and is listed for $949,900. YIKES!!! I hope a party group doesn’t buy it or there will be another house on the street getting listed.

WOW…that’s one huge pool and not to mention the house isn‘t that shabby either.
I tend to think that looks like a PARTY HOUSE FOR SURE. We just had a house on our street listed and sold WITHOUT the sign even getting put up! I was told by the owners son that a “retired couple” is moving in! :clap002:

No action at the pool construction across the street!

Off to watch Law & Order!!

Well that’s just a great bit of news Mike! You have a good night as well. We look forward to seeing you tomorrow.

This is the property from a drone Kathie. Our place is the bungalow two homes to the left.

Hope you had a wonderful day too Karen.

Good morning.
Ava didn’t get up so no early walk. She’ll have to wait until we get to The Navy Yard. I’ll drop Lu-Ann at her hair appointment, head to the park and then to the vet for Ava’s supplies. This afternoon we’ll do our house checks of our friends places.
Other than that, not much new since last evening so I”ll leave you all with a smile and hope that you all have a great day!

Good Morning!

I see my post from yesterday didn't make it except for the words MIKE!! Crazy iPad is doing a slow death. :(

The SKY is a perfect BLUE this morning. Sun is shining and it's 44F right now. Brrr.

MIKE: Nice that Fay got to come home and spend some time with you. Shows she's getting stronger. Hope you're doing well these days too.

Lee: Nice overhead shot of the neighbor's pool area. That's one big house and pool. I'd hate to pay the electric/gas bill for heating that pool all season.

Speaking of POOLS..... the crew across the street put up the
Orange fencing to protect people from falling into the hole they have dug. This morning they took down the fencing and are moving the huge pile of dirt around. Not sure what they're up to, but haven't seen or heard the 18 wheeler truck yet. I must say they do clean up nicely before they leave at night.

Karen: Not sure what you're up to today, but I'm sure you've got a lot of things on your TO DO LIST. Enjoy your day.

Art is off to the Cardiologist office for a check up for the LOOP RECORDER that was put into his check. I'm staying home. This is one of those "Hello.... How are you.... type of visits. :emoticon 0136 giggle:

I'm out of here for now. Our furnace just came on! Does that tell you that it's cold outside hear!!

Good morning! I've been awake since 5 & up since 6:30 so it feels more like afternoon to me.

Mike, that is awesome news that Fay got to come home for a little while. I'm sure you are eager for the day when she comes home to stay!

Kathie, wow, that was quite a little bonus you snagged at Kroger the other night. I think I could count on 1 hand the number of times I've used self check out.

Lee, that is one fancy looking house, I don't think having a party house in the neighborhood would be so bad, just show up with a nice bottle of wine & you'll be good.

Having Wendy, her daughter & my sisters over for lunch this afternoon to celebrate Mother's Day . Everything is prepped & ready to go so it may be my cue to have the 2nd cup of coffee & chill. Enjoy your Friday all!

POOL UPDATE!
They have a DOUBLE Tandem truck pulled up and are filling that huge mound of dirt right now. It'll be all gone before I get my next cup of coffee! :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:
I'm just glad I can still get out of our driveway. I have a few errands to run right now.

Karen: Your Lunch get together sounds perfect. Wendy is so lucky to have you girls doing nice things like this for her. Enjoy.

Barely 9:30 and a ton of chatter and updates here already. That’s neat.
Hopefully Art’s appointment is on time AND a short “hello” one. It’s nice when construction crews leave the work area and street clean.
Enjoy your family day Karen. It sounds like you have everything, as you always do, perfectly planned. The current homeowner entertains a bit but never seems to invite any of the neighbours over. He was some high level mucky-muck with the real estate board.
Best get Lu-Ann and Ava collected and on our way!

Love the "chatter too" Lee.

SURPRISE VISIT!!
One of the 'original' neighbors that built the same time we did just came over with his Son to say "GOOD BYE"! He's moving in with his Son. The house sold in 1 day. Never had a sign on it per their request. (if you don't have a place to move to before listing you'll be living on the streets. Houses sell really quick these days)

Art is back from his Check-Up and what's funny is while I was typing this post the "summary" of his visit was on his computer chart! :emoticon 0122 itwasntme:
All is good and he goes back in 6 months!

Okay, I really need to get moving over here. 55F and Sunny and still Chilly outside!

Wendy's early Mother's day lunch was very nice. It's hard to believe she is 92 years old, she looks great and other than not driving much anymore she gets along pretty good. I will post a picture of her and Barbara tomorrow. I'm beat and have to be up early in the morning for work day at church.
