I was going thru some old photos and sending them to Scrapbook Lady, and I found photos of some of my old pets. The cats will have to be a separate post because there are a lot. But I will start with these. Remember, this is before I had a good digital camera. Also, my scanner needs replacing, that is half the problem.

My first dog, Major. I was about 3. Mom was pregnant with my DB, and the dog kept jumping the fence and getting out and Mom had to chase him, so Daddy put his foot down and sent him back to the breeder. But he was fun while we had him. I tried to convince Daddy we should send Mark back instead, but it didn't work.

This is Buddy. He was a half chihuahua and half dachshund. He turned up in our yard one day. My Dad found his owner a couple weeks later and bought him for us.

Oh, yeah, we had two turtles, too. And fish.l

Buddy just ran off one day and never came back. A couple years later, we were having trouble with people cutting through our yard at night to get to the next street. Daddy looked out the window and saw someone right under it. I was a teenager and raving about wanting another dog. He finally gave in, but told me it had to be a big watch dog. Enter my baby Ranger. His mother was an AKC retired champion German Shepherd, who went for a walk one night, and Ranger happened. He was so large I used to say he was half GS and half Shetland pony.

Here is Ranger trying to crush my Mom, he was still a puppy here. He was also the smartest bar none animal I have ever met.

Ranger lived thru my teenage years, and up until I was married and had TJ. When he died, we bought TJ a Golden Retriever. His breeder gave me his certificate saying he was a pure bred Golden. I don't think the dog read it. But, he was a gentle giant. I mean giant. His favorite toy was a 4 foot long 4x4 post.

Tj was 4 here.

And some of our other pets. We also had an aquarium. With the Siamese we were breeding, we almost needed a zoo license!

Rocky the cockatiel. He belonged to friends of mine who rescued him from an abusive home. Only, Rocky was traumatized and hated men. He loved me, so they gave him to me. This is him meeting my new kitten for the first time. The kitten is PD, my best friend ever. You will see more of him later.

The brown rabbit is Cassie. My BF Anita was raising them. She called and told me to get a cage, she was bringing TJ a bunny. I told her I didn't want a bunny. She said I am not giving it to you, it's TJ's. So, we got a rabbit. You don't tell her no, (that is how I got my ears pierced, come to think of it.) Cassie was lonely, and needed a friend, enter Casey, the black and white.

Cassie turned so mean (did you know rabbits growl?) and starting thumping and biting when we tried to feed her, so she went back to Anita, and we ended up with Jessica instead.

Well, that is all I have for now, except for a funny funny one I found. Me 13, Mark 9

Hope you enjoyed these, I will post the kitties later.
