We had a rear cabin on the Miracle and Legend. They were almost back to back cruises and we booked them at the same time. They weren't suites with the wrap around balconies. What I didn't like was the soot that blew from the stacks. I was fortunate that I only ruined a bathing suit. I sat down on a chair and didn't notice the black soot. It doesn't come out. When you walk outside if you are barefoot your feet also get black from the carbon. The rear of those ships are sloped. The balcony is extended but the glass rail is on a slope so that area is wasted. There is no roof or overhang. There are always "A" Hole passengers throwing stuff off of the back. Guess where and who it lands on? I have had ice cubes, liquids, cigarette ashes and food hit me or the balcony. Thankfully no one was sea sick. The other problem is there are always passengers hanging over the rail along the upper decks. The rear always attracts more than along the sides. It is not too bad during the day but at night it gets irritating. Especially from the loud talkers. You hardly get any breeze and it can get real stuffy. Smoke lingers. When in port you don't see much. The good is your room is always at the back so it is easier to figure out which way to go to something. I will not ask for another rear cabin but everyone has different levels of tolerance., or experience.
