"Mommy" was in either yesterday morning or the morning before to feed them. Those puppies are developing a good set of lungs! :dizzy

They were on CNN last night...pretty famous little puppies...actually they look like quite big puppies now...they said they were all spoken for and I'm wondering how soon they will be leaving the breeder...they look like they are almost ready to go to their forever homes.

They were still feeding from their dam earlier this week. They cannot go to their forever homes until they're completely weaned. Sorry I missed them on TV last night. They DO look bigger, friskier and more independent.

I have never seen them with the mother and have wondered where she was. I know they can't go until they are completely weaned...in fact I think most pups are taken from their mothers far too early...often at 6-7 weeks. I don't believe in taking them away until they are closer to three months old. By then the pup has had an opportunity to learns socialization skills, will be eating solid food well and will be ready for housebreaking. Unfortunately a lot of breeders send them out much earlier than that....I wonder when these pups were born....I still think they look huge!! Shiba Inu are said to be about 17-23 pounds and I think a couple of those big boys look like they are about 10 pounds now! ...and they are a rough and tumble lot! =lolgang

Thanks Charles...they seem to get bigger every day...they sure look like healthy little pups..and very very feisty!! ...and very very noisy when they get playing!

Beryl - on November 11th, only one weighed 4 lbs., the others were in the 3.5+ lbs. range. I first thought they were Pucci's size, but I was wrong - they were much smaller. I find it amazing that they rarely drink water and I only saw them once (earlier this week) feeding off their mother. I see no food in their cage either.

Mary Ann, I've seen food in their a couple of times. It's in a large, flat, bowl. It looked like dry food. They all sniff it, go away, come back to sniff, go away, then come back and take a few bites and go away again.

I hear them drinking their water which is in the far corner of their area (in a blue bowl). But it's not very often. There is water there though.

Oh Wow Mary Ann.....I thought they looked huge...it must be the camera angle. They look as large as my biggest yorkie and he is a bruiser at about 12 pounds. Even at that weight they are smaller than my little yorkie who is barely 7 pounds but they look like they could take a few rounds out of him. They are certainly fun to watch....but I have to turn the sound off because my smallest guy wants to climb right in the computer screen with them....he was poking around the back of my computer desk yesterday to see if they were hiding back there =lolgang!

hi,
I've asked a number of people at work, if they've seen the puppycam, and they all say no, some think i'm crazy, that it would be on the internet.

Why would it be crazy to be on the Internet? Everything's on the Internet.

From what I've read, this couple started this project by wanting to keep an eye on their puppies from their work. How it got public for everyone to see, I don't know.

Haven't looked at them for a while, they have a new stage setting! Cute, getting bigger!

I can imagine how it got on the net. They are watching from work, send to their kids/friends/relatives or future owners so they can see how cute they are. They send it on to their friends/family, someone puts it here, BAM!
