Nice photos. I didn't want to book a cove balcony because I was concerned about being so close to the waves that it may make me motion sick, which I get easy. I do hope someone with a cove balcony will at least let me see one in person when we cruise to know how I could handle it in the future.
LOL Yes Marueen (and Suer) I meant Deck 2....senior moment
Gram we did a Transatlantic on the Dream and had rough seas 2 days and she handled it well. We were midship in the cove balconies and had no issues. See that wall divider with the black gasket around it....that actually can close over the cabin door to keep the cabin occupants from going out on deck during rough seas. They closed that one time on the TA but the other day they didn't. On that day I got this video by poking my camera out the door....I wasn't brave enough to actually step out there LOL
Just a warning...the deck 6 and 7 balconies on the Dream have very little privacy due to the way they overlook the promenade deck. The Promenade is very wide and when standing at the rail and looking back up at the balcony cabins the folks on the Promenade have a clear view of the balconies and cabins. I would recommend balconies on deck 9 or higher if you desire privacy...
See how deck 9 juts out a bit further and with it being higher up gives move privacy from the deck below.
The promenade is a great deck to take a stroll along!
Nice photos Denise. One thing I noticed when looking up at the balconies I didn't see any furniture? Our room is more forward on port side, past where the hot tubs are. Even though Joe & I are Platinum members of Carnival we have never been on the Dream. So I really enjoy/appreciate seeing pictures of the ship. Also, any info about the ship is helpful.
Gram, those are probably stock photos from when she first came out...I got them off the internet, they are not mine. I would imagine there are two blue chairs like in my photo.
That area in pictures is really nice. Right inside door are the Caffee specality shop and Ice cream specialty and and bar. Niecie and I sat in this area quite lot. The guys and her kids always knew where to find us. on inside or outside.

That inside areas is "Ocean Plaza". There is also a small stage there and they hold trivia there and other games. This is also where they set up the sushi station in the evening. A great central location.
Here is a pic of GSs Michael & Jacob with some friends getting cokes at the bar
Maw and Paw at a table
From our Transatlantic some of us enjoying games in this area.

Where ever you make Maw's office we will find you. With having three sea days I think we will be spending lots of time there gabbing away.
Maybe all those with scooter, walkers and canes can have races around the deck.
