i've asked this question when i booked my upcoming cruise and was told that i could use an atm/debit card and pay it off in cash without anything going through.

but i'm sure they will allow you to put down a cash deposit against your sea pass card.

call up your agent or better yet, ask royal caribbean directly. they don't bite
