What is the least amount you can give them for a 7 night cruise? I do not have a CC so it's Travelers Checks for me. And if you don't sped it all what happens to the money thats left? Rccl Radiance 7 night cruise.

I'm not sure if I'm reading your question right, :? but when you check in to board the ship, they ask for a credit card and everything you buy while on board goes directly to your sea pass account which is actually attached to your credit card. Anytime during the cruise, you can pay off your sea pass account at the pursers desk; if not, the amount you spent will be automatically charged to your credit card.

I think you will need a credit card. You better check. I've never seen anyone use traveler's check for their sea pass account.

It can be done, but I dont know the amounts. Im thinking $200-$250 per person. Call RCI and ask them to find out for sure. You dont want any surprises when you are trying to board.

Would they let you hook up your debit card with you Seapass instead of a normal CC? Just a thought, since using a debit card is like writing a check. Of course, you'd have to have some self-control and you'd have to carefully watch how much you spend, but it's an idea... =shrug

i've asked this question when i booked my upcoming cruise and was told that i could use an atm/debit card and pay it off in cash without anything going through.

but i'm sure they will allow you to put down a cash deposit against your sea pass card.

call up your agent or better yet, ask royal caribbean directly. they don't bite :)

Its always best to ask them directly.... I did read somewhere that you can use the ATM/Visa/MC cards for setting up your shipboard account, provided there are funds in there. I dont know what amount is considered acceptable, and that is just info related by another board memeber.... always best to get the correct info in a matter such as this.

Yes, you can use travelers checks to opens your sea account. Any extra left over you will get a check the last night that you can cash at the pursers office. The amount is $200 per person for a 7 day cruise.

Using an atm card--make sure of the daily limit allowed by the bank. (Since the cruise lines puts the amount in at the end of the week you may go over that limit which will warrant an additional hold if not a denial of charges. (My card only has a 200 per day limit. Before I cruise I call the bank and lift that limit for the duration of the cruise.
