You should be fine using a B.C. for a closed loop cruise. As for proof when entering the islands mentioned they did not require anything when we visited them in the past. In fact, I have never been asked for legal proof of citizenship during any of our 25+ cruises. The only possible catch is if for some reason you get stuck in a port (missed ship, sick and moved to a hospital, for examples) then you may have a problem with just a BC assuming that you even have it in your procession, not back in your ship cabin's safe for example.A note to all: The State Department is really backed-up with requests for passports, again, still. People have been reporting that they have had to cancel cruises or other out-of-country trips due to not receiving their new passports. I would apply months in advance for either a new, or renewed, passport.
