Partial transit of Panama Canal??

Going on the Rotterdan 11/28 and wondering about the Panama Railroad. Do you get off the boat at Gatun Lake or before you go thro the locks? I don't want to miss the locks, but with the history of the railroad I would kie to see that too. Thanx Kathy
 
You go through Gatun Locks first, then get off the ship when you get to Gatun Lake to hook up with the railroad.
