Howdy all. Come on by and lets swap cruise experiences. It is kinda different looking for such different excursions for two cruises--Alaska and Panama. Thinking hot and cold and dressing for both. I guess I think of Panama as a place to sit on a blacony with a nice cold drink ducking inside to cool off from time t time. Alaska sitting on balcony with a nice hot cuppa ducking in t get warm from time to time. Not sure we will be doing many excursions in Panama due to heat and the countries we will be visiting--will have to get off ship but will want to stay close to it I think. What kind of excursions have you considered doing. Brenda (Princess) will be here today so we can talk Panama cruise. Come on talk with us.

Having never cruise to Panama canal, I will try to learn as much as I can before leaving. We
will probably get off at each stop, I am looking forward to Laberbe Haiti (excuse the spelling). I
love beachs , as I am looking forward to Half Moon cay on the Westerdam. (been there 4 times).
We will most likely walk around the towns or take a bus tour, depending how lazy we are that day.
Hope you all have a great day!!!!!:wave

Hello Maw and Earl,

we did the boat tour through the canal and into the Pasific last time. I really loved it, but it was HOT! Yet I would not mind doing it again.
We did the white water rafting in Limon, and that was a blast.
Rick and jeanie did a canoe trip.
I just loved that place because there were venders huts right next to the ship. Maw, you could do that.
And there were REAL handmade things.. not something "made in China" for a change.

And Maw..
Alaska at the time of year can be hot at times also.
:lol

Maw, tell Paw I was out in the garden working this morning..

The weatherman said that today it would be cloudy and around 80*, with a good chance of rain this
evening.
Instead, it was very cloudy this morning, then the wind picked up, and then the rain started.
I had wanted to work in the garden, and at first I was put off by all this. Then I figured that it was a good time to work. For one thing.. I would not sweat to death :lol

yesterday Einstein and I trimmed the many azalea bushes that frame the back of the house. And I had to rest twice. It was so hot.

So the rain suddenly looked real good to me :lol I was out there from about 8.30 until 11.30.
Too bad someone was not around with a camera when I was ready to come in..
I was soaked to the skin, covered in mud.. back and front. As I had done a lot of work sat down in my shorts.. My bare legs were covered with mud. and my hair was sticking up on end.
I was chilled through and through.. So I came in via the garage, so I could dump the muddy stuff, and headed for a nice hot shower.
Then I made myself some of the coffee (chicory) like the Cafe Du Monde... it was smashing.
Oh yes.. yesterday while trimming the bushes, I beheaded a snake.. poor little guy, he was up in the top of the bushes sunning.
It was only a garter snake. I hated that I killed something so harmless.

I have read my way through 12 Lee Child books.. so now I am waiting for his latest book to come out.
I am 7th on the list for it when it comes out in June :lol

While in Lake Gutan we toured an Indian Village. I can't believe that people other then here in Hampton SC still live so primitively.

Jeanie, it would be a great help if you could tell everyone all about your tours while on that cruise, with pictures please :lol

Maw, in case she does not see this, I will send her a PM.

I wish that everyone who went on that cruise would come over and tell everyone what they did, and how they liked it.
