Yonnie - that is my little heart and soul, Pucci, in the second photo wearing "Doggles". Now, whether or not he's happy wearing them is another question. 8-)

:lol Georgie says he just might have to give Pucci some competion for that little sweetheart =love :lol :lol

Denise - are you sure there's no Poodle in Georgie? He is sooooooooooooooo cute!

Mary Ann, Georgie was "suppose" to be a Bichon/Poodle hybrid. My vet and groomer have said he has inhererited 99% poodle :lol :lol When Georgie is wet he has a black spots all over his body on his face and black "eye shadow" around his eyes. The groomer tells me that is common in Bichons. He is also much larger then I expected. I was told he would be about 12 pounds and 12 inches. he is just over 17 inches and just over 25 pounds, which would classify him as a standard poodle. No matter he has turned out to be the perfect size for us, especially for wrestling with this big brother Buck.

Denise - do you mind if I reach through the monitor and give both Georgie and Buck a big cuddle? That photo is wonderful. Buck looks like such a gentle creature.

Yes, Georgie's height/weight would classify him as Standard - but a small Standard. Pucci is classified as a Toy, but the breeder knew he would be too large for Toy conformation (I wanted a furBABY, not a show dog - not that there's anything wrong with the latter). So Pucci is a bit of an anomaly - he's too tall/heavy for a Toy (12", 13 pounds), and considered pretty small for a Miniature.

Georgie and Pucci have almost identical expressions on their faces - only the color is different, with Pucci being creme-colored.

Yes, Georgie is such a gentle giant. Our grandkids when they are little just climb all over him and he seems to love it. The just lays there and takes whatever they give. Same with the antics of Georgie...Buck let's him frolic and chew all over him, and sometimes Georgie gets pretty rough, LOL with him still being so young and active.

I was the same...I didn't want a "show" dog nor did I even need purebreed I went with hybrid as I heard it helps reduce the risk of breed specific health issues. It is too early to tell if that will be the case but so far Georgie is doing GREAT health wise.

Huggs from us to Pucci too ;)

Mary Ann & Denise, you both have some hug-able dogs. So cute.

I love the "doggles", Mary Ann. How did you get him to keep them on?

How do I get Pucci to keep the Doggles on, Patty? Well...ahem...he rarely wears them so it's a non-issue! :grin
