Hi

I am sailing on the Norwegian Spirit from New York for my birthday in December for Xmas. Can anyone tell me if it is compulsary to have the onboard credit facilities? Also where is the dock where the ship berths in New York? I have no instructions as to where to go to board the ship. Any help or info would be appreciated. I will be staying in New York from the 15th till the 18 Deceber then after the cruise until the 2nd January before flying back to the UK.

You're given a card to unlock and lock your cabin door. Everything you buy on the ship is credited to your room card. At the end of the cruise, you can pay for what you have charged with the room card with cash, money orders, traveler checks or with your favorite bank credit card. To make the process simplier, you can designate which bank credit card you wish to charge your bill om before embarking upon the ship.
The spa, shops, lounges, and restaurants don't have cash registers, they credit your room account instead.

Hi Don

Thank you very much for your reply. I am a travel agent sailing from the UK however, I dont know much about the Norwegian Spirit as I have only sailed on the Celebrity Mellemium and P&O. Can you please tell me where in New Yoork the ship is docked please. I will be sailing on the 18th December and I am looking forward to it so much. I think the idean of staying in pre an post cruise is very appealing to. Thank you once again for your help.
