Noise in Connecting Stateroom?

Hi everyone. I'm booked in a connecting room on my next cruise, but I'm worried that noise will seep through the doorway and cause some disturbances. Does anyone have any experience with connecting staterooms? I would appreciate some feedback. Thanks.

I have had a few cabins like that and I couldn't hear a thing. Couldn't even see any light coming from under the door. Have a great cruise!

Shouldnt be a problem at all, I have always been amazed at the lack of noise from neighboring cabins while cruising. Maybe Ive just been really lucky?? I dont know, but I would say not to worry one bit about it.

The ones we had were "double doored" and closed like an airlock making them as good as or better than the walls. Noise from the corridor one could hear at times but from other rooms, I never noticed any problems so whatever they use for insulation is wonderful, IMHO..

Just to mirror what the above posts were saying, all of the ships I've been on have actually been completely sealed. On Carnival Legend, I actually slept better than in my own room at home. No worries. Have a good time!

I see by the previous postings that no one had a SCREAMING BABY or a late night OBNOXIOUS DRUNK in the adjoining cabin. We've had both. If the people are noisy you probably will hear something. Just one more thing. We were on the Sovereign with the drunks, who were also heavy SMOKERS. You can also sometimes SMELL things from an adjoining cabin.

There are times when calling the purser is in order.

Just an interesting note: in connecting Junior suites on the Voyager, Adventure, and Explorer, the location of furniture is totally shifted because the connecting door takes the place of the desk. However, the newer Navigator and Mariner ships have corrected this problem by having desks half as long in all Junior suites. See the virtual tours on Royal Caribbean's website to see what I mean.

I had a connecting cabin on the Celebrity Infinity and heard too much! Ever since, I've always asked my TA to make sure NOT to book an adjoining cabin.
