Nice hotel

I am starting to look for a hotel in miami, I know its still very early, I am
looking around. I don't think they take reservation s yet, but its fun checking out
the places,
Depending on the price I would like to have a beach front room and near south beach
I will probably stay 2 days before cruising, In Montreal its snow alot and would not like
to arrive late.
Any suggestions on where to stay , would be helpful. Maybe if a few of us stay
at the same hotel we could get a deal

Right now we are booked at the Holiday Inn Port of Miami. It is very expensive and we hope to do better between now and then. We went on and booked it just in case we don't. We can always cancel it with no problem.

Are you on the beach or are you near South Beach I didn't think they took reservations this far in
advance.

Earl - we are less than a year out so reservations are open. Or should be, I think that most allow reservations less than a year out.

Our hotel is at the Port of Miami facing the ships, on Biscayne Blvd. South Beach is almost 9 miles away, over the Julia Tuttle Causeway to Miami Beach.

But, we do hope to find one cheaper - fingers crossed. We'll see.

Yes, it would be 'nice' to stay across the street from the port, but with prices my search engines are coming up with, it's looking more and more as though we'll be staying out by the airport and catching a shuttle.

I have never stay at a hotel beside the beach yet. Next year I am going to splurge and get one beside the ocean.
I am hoping for about $200. a night. give or take.
iwant to look out in the morning and see the ocean not an apartment building.
