Yes, I have stayed in NOLA many, many nights, and there are many excellent hotel rooms convenient to the port.I know the Chateau Sonesta on Canal St. {Not the Royal Sonesta on Bourbon} has early check-in if enough passengers are staying there.I have never noticed a loud casino. If the cling-cling of the machine paying off is that loud, I would want to be there and collect my share... LOLAs far as the restaurant, check with the Matire D' after boarding, and just like any fine restaurant, a $ 20.00 bill talks.... Good Luck
