We just returned from Millennium's 16 night Panama Canal crossing, and the new elite benefits were better than we expected.  First, the new lounge in Michaels was

well done.  In the morning, there was freshly squeezed orange juice, which was a delight, along with freshly made expressos, cappachinos, lattes, etc.  In the evenings,

there was a two hour long cocktail hour with a wide selction of beer, wine, and cocktails that were made to order (no warm, watered down stuff).  The laundry and internet benefits were better than we expected, since they were per person rather than per room.  So, we each got 90 minutes of free internet service and two free bags of laundry.  There were all manner of other coupons for discounts in the spa, casino cretits, etc.  They were pretty much as existed before, with the exception of a free day in the Persian Garden.

All in all, I believe the upgrades were meaningful and we benefitted from them.

On a totally different subject, the ship really benefitted from the dry dock facelift it got in May.  All of the public area carpets are new, as well as the public area furniture.

The conversion to flat screen TVs is not totally complete, but in each port they were busy changing them out in more rooms.  We were told they are about 2/3 done.
