NCL vs RCC: Getaway vs Adventure?

Hello All, I am a "newbie" cruiser... have only been on 2 (Carnival in 2013 - can't remember the ship - and RCC Anthem in 2019). We never realized how "mediocre" the Carnival cruise was until we sailed on the Anthem! So much bigger, modern and way more things to see and do. We LOVED our 5 night cruise to Bermuda on the Anthem. (Me, wife and 2 kids - 11 and 13 at the time). We got the specialty dining package and ate at most of the specialty places (Izumi x2, Wonderland, Jamies,). We are crazy about sushi, so 2 nights of Izumi were awesome. I got the drink package (my wife doesn't drink, but I was staying in a room with my son...so we only had to pay for 1). We loved the trivia, shows (big and small), Bingo, etc..

Fast forward to now, my wife and I just had our 20th anniversary and we want to celebrate with a cruise in Sept 2022 (sans kids). We live in NH and don't want to fly to a port, so our options are Boston and NYC/NJ. Boston only has cruises to Canada, and we want to go someplace tropical (like Bermuda again). So, we have 2 options from NY/NJ...both 5 night cruises. First is the RCC Adventure and the second is the NCL Getaway. Both hit the checkbox for sushi (and Getaway gets extra points for a raw bar - as I love me some oysters on the half shell!)...as far as I can tell, they both have similar "casual" amenities (pools, bars, food)... Since we have never cruised NCL, we want to know if it has the same "smaller events" (trivia, bingo, comedy) as RCC as well as the big broadway shows at the main theater. We also appreciated the "adults only" solarium on the Anthem, though we don't know how needed that will be for a cruise in Sept as I would ASSUME there are less "Families with kids" since school is in session.

So, anyways... I guess I'm asking the "experts" (or "addicts" rather) what their view is on NCL vs RCC... and if you have experience on these 2 ships (Getaway & Adventure) maybe which you would choose and why! Thanks!
