This is such a personal thing and then when you add in the weather of your cruise...there are no guarantees. Personally for example the only time I have an issue is when leaving the East coast of Florida in the Atlantic. Weather can be great but the motion of the ship side to side even if minimal bugs me for the first few hours. Almost every time. Why don't know all my trips off the west coast and throughout the Caribbean in all sorts of weather (some terrible) have been fine. So the answer to your question is most of the ships of the day have great stability but mother nature is able to defeat just about everything and each persons different in reacting. Of course there are all sorts of tricks and medications.
