Miami Transportation Options!!!

I know there are some that are getting into Miami early and perhaps this Mass Transit option might be of aid to U. :thumb The Metromover is a overhead rail system that operates between the hours of 7AM and midnight and the BEST part is its FREE. :grin

These are what they look like

Here is a photo of the Bayfront Station which is close to the Bayside area of downtown. The station at College / Bayside Station is probably the closest for those staying at the Holiday Inn. :thumb

and here is the Loop diagram of where the Metromover stops and where it goes.

and here is a local Map of the Bayside area and location A on the map designates where the Holiday Inn is and those blue squares near the A is teh College / Bayside Station for the Metromover. :thumb

and they also have that metrorail that costs pennies..

Metromover - YES. :thumb Metrorail - NO as its a 1/2 mile walk to the nearest station.

Can we take it from the Port back to the Airport?

Nope on the Port to the Airport option. But there is ALWAYS the dependable Super Shuttle. :dance

I think we'll stick to our original plans and take a taxi or two back to the airport.

I agree. We will be taking a taxi from the airport to the hotel and the port unless the hotel has aprivate bus.(I hope)
We might need it again if we visit South Beach( for the scenery).

but this is wonderful for popping all around town.
For instance.. we are only about two stops away from your hotel Maw..

red has nailed it as it is a nice option for just popping around town to either get a bite to eat or drink or stop in and see a fellow C@N@L Group Cruiser.

For further distances the taxi is still probably the BEST bet as that method allows for MORE flexibility and distance with regards to getting from Point A to Point B.
