:cheer:Good morning all!!! Grab a hot cuppa and come on by and chat. Found the cruise I want to take next year don't think Paw would want to go with me-now Billy 2 and Billy 3 would want to go. Can't explain it. but I like Kid Rock. My grandson was shocked I even knew who he was. Gues Maw is just an aged rocker at heart.

Going to be fairly quiet today-Brenda has already been by and got our PU theirs broke down last night when they got to Billy 3's.They brought Melissa PU home so Jim has gone to take theirs to garage. Not a nice way to spend a vacation. I think that truck spends 1/2 its time in garage. Have a couple of loads of wash to do. Brenda said she might bring hers up to do later.

Good morning gang. Another hot/humid day here with more storms today. Got over 1-1/2 inches of rain in a very short time yesterday. Maw, I feel for your kids with auto repairs as ours went thru a spell like that about a yr ago--always something going wrong.

We're off to Iowa City again tomorrow to see the lymphoma dr. Should just be a regular check up but as Mike says, it seems like we only go a few months & they start looking for something else. After dr visit we've decided to head over to the Amana Colonies for lunch & an afternoon of shopping. This is our 1st summer with the Travelscoot so we are able to do more things now.

Maw those kids just arn't having any luck with there cars & pick ups these days.
I don't think Paw would agree to that rock cruise either.
Still humid here but not as host as the east coast. We had a high of 88 yesterday with dewpoints in the upper 60's most of the day. They say this is the last day of the high dewpoints for a could of days. Stroms moving in tonight.
Just sittin here at the computer waiting for the little one to get up. I think Brian his going to take him so a hair cut after work. I wonder when he will get him a flat top. Brian has had a flat top since he got out of the service & my husband had one for I can't tell you how many years.

Good morning fellow @ddicts! ! ! What a GORGEOUS day yesterday. Looks llike more of the same today.

Was so busy at work I didn't have time to check the boards all day long. I think that will continue for a few days while I play catch up. The new vehicles have started to arrive. Received our first 2010 Ford Fusion hybrid. It will be a nice addition to our fleet. I would consider owning one myself if I were in the market for a new car.

Maw, I am somewhat surprised you know who Kid Rock is. LOL

Good morning everyone.

It is another hot and steamy day here.

Heat alerts are out -- no using dishwahers, washers, dryers, electric stoves -- turn off as many electrical devices as possible between the hours of 7 AM and 7 PM. Everything is being strained and they are worried about blackouts.

I already cooked my eggs this morning to have with a nice cold salmon salad for dinner. Did that at 5 AM since I have an electric stove.

Maw, I'll join you on the Kid Rock cruise! :boogie:I like a party atmosphere.

I haven't had time to stop by. We were super busy over the 4th of July weekend that spilled over to Monday. Great to have so many friends that want to spend time with us but I was exhausted. It was almost nice to be back at work yesterday!

Still pondering my flight decisions. Dang, those flights are high this year.

Kathy, hope the doctor's appointment goes well tomorrow.

Jan, they say our temps are supposed to drop back into the upper 80's. Will be a welcome change as we have had a steamy summer so far. Do like it hot though for the pool.

We swam late last night. I love swimming at night, just hard to get a tan that way.

Hope everyone has a great over the hump day! Short week at least for some.

Mornin’ Maw, Paw and C@ Gang!!

Maw – it is hot-hot-hot here…I need a cold pool to jump into!

Well, it has been sad around here, last week my sisters f-i-l passed
away, and on the same day his son, Mike, had a stroke and went into
a coma. On Friday, after the funeral, they had to make the decision
to pull the plug. This family has already lost 2 of their sons.

We went to the visitation last night, today I am babysitting my great nieces and nephews so their parents can go to the funeral and not worry about them. All of the 1st Cousins are the pall bearers. So, that is what we’ve been up to and will be glad when this is all over.

Other than that, just watching the oil spill. We go down to the Panhandle of Fla. in Sept and we are still hoping for the best.

Kathy – safe trip to the city and I hope your DH’s checkup is good.

KK – That is awful that you have to go through that, but well worth it if it helps the strain on the electrical grid for your area. Be careful!

Good Wednesday morning!!! It is going to be another hot and humid day in the northeast. I have the day off so plan to spend a good part of it in the pool. A lazy day for me! Don't get enough of those. Will have to relax with a book after doing a few chores this am.

Hubby has appointment with doctor this afternoon to see results of his ultrasound he had on his shoulder. Will find out if he needs surgery or not.

Hello Ramble Gang -

Another busy day at work - but I like it. As I stated in another post - I am very lucky in that I work to pay for our play time and we sure like to play! lol I love my vacations and get aways as we call them. I don't think we go that much - but everyone else does! lol So, I am lucky to have a good job and enough vacation time to do what I want!

The guys have golf legue tonight - so the girls are going to dinner and drinks. Fun to get out once in awhile with the girls!

Jim made a huge salad last night for dinner. I think he put everything except the kitchen sink in it. Sure was good on a hot night! Mil loved it too!

Maw - I am with you - I love Kid Rock - but like a few others - I am surprised you like him and know who he is! lol You go girl!

Kathy - Hot here too! Surprised you got rain - we didn't get any! Good Luck at the dr's. Keep us posted.

JanPep - hope the storms are not too bad - seems we get the weather right after you

Tobyn - I would like to have a 2010 Ford Fusion hybrid - but Jim has his eye on a Corvette! I told him to go back to work and he could get one! lol

Whimsy - good luck with the flights - I use www.kayak.com - they will send you a notice daily / weekly - then I go to the airline website to book. Have to keep checking - but there are deals out there - remember to check Southwest too!

Corky - so sorry for your loss - - that is terrible. Thoughts and prayers to the whole family for the tough decisions they have had to make.

Linda & Jim - a pool day sounds great. That is the one thing I missed on our bus trip last week. I kept aksing - "when is the pool day?" Of course - those that don't cruise just didn't understand! lol

Terry - Loved Vancouver when we visited - would live there if it wasn't so far away from all our family. Good luck at the doctors.

Good morning. Finally summer has come! But at least here on the west coast we don't have the humidity that you have back east.

Tango hope that your hubby gets good news about his shoulder. And Kathy C safe travels and hope for good news. Corky what a sad time for that family.

Both of us are off to the podiatrists this morning. And then grocery shopping. At least both places have A/C!

A hot, humid day here in central MN, but not like the east coast so I'm not complaining!

Lots on the docket in the way of chores but I will be taking an hour or two this afternoon in the heat to sit in the AC and finish Outlander. I have really enjoyed it and I have the next 2 books in the series winging their way to me right now.

Good afternoon maw and the rest of U Ramblers. Been pretty busy around here since the past holiday weekend. The pool came in handy and the weather was picture perfect with low humidity and LOTS of Sun. The Heat has returned with todays high suppose to top out at 103 with heat indexes nearing 115.

I think there will be LOTS of time spent poolside and hopefully rain will return soon as its beginning to look like a dessert here. So U are a Kid Rock fan huh maw??? Well U go for it then as that sounds like it would be a LOT of Fun.

We received some Gr8 News late last week in the form of another reduction in fare for the Thanksgiving cruise. We are now in the $70 per day are for the 10 Nighter which is about the lowest fare we have ever had except when we cruised on the Ocean Princess in 2000 for $600 per person for 10 nights.

Looks like Princess has begun to lower fares for their spring cruises and I would think that we might just possibly see some fare reductions soon on the C@ Circle the Southern Caribbean next Feb. :doubleup:

Tango I hope U get some good News on hubby's injury and Gramma Ann I hope Oscar's recovery period is a speedy one. All the rest of U stay healthy and out of harms way. ttfn as the busy part of the day awaits. :whistle:
