Good morning all!! Having my cuppa coffee and trying to get ramble done. seem not to be doing too well doing either. Have shower (hot water tank turned off) lights on timers, sent Post office message to hold mail. roll on by back door seem to have one two many pieces of hand stuff did not get my blankie in suitcase or
aw's Office bag. I really don't think I am good at packing in one 26 inch suitcase yet.


Heading to KC this morning. Then tomorrow the flight. Sure going to miss you all. May not get on line while on ship. See you Friday Jan, see Niecie and Bill and Jennie Sat.

Be good kids. Mal did you dumb all those Duckies in East River?

Whoo Hoo Maw! Take lots of pics while in Seattle of the mini-meet and of Alaska! Bet you are sooooo excited!

Nothing much here,stayed up late and heard about the Favre trade to the Jets,maybe now I can rest,John LOVED Favre and didnt want him to go,me I thought his time was up and he should be retired,but I think both of us are glad it is over!

Good morning Maw and ramble gang.. Well Maw, you and Paw head out this morning for your cruise. We will miss you, but I know that Donna will do a great job of managing the RAMBLE thread while you are away.

Thanks Donna for offering to do this, we would be in serious withdraw without it :grin

Well, it looks as if our hot temps are bringing storms this way, as we are supposed to get storms this afternoon.. unfortunately I have a dentist visit in 15 mins, so had best get my skates on… L not my most favorite thing in the world.

I am enjoying looking at the photos in the thread by Jeanie “Blast from the Past†And later on today I will add some of them into the new album in the “faces†section of the gallery.

It is neat to see some of us as we used to be.

morning maw and ramblers.

We had our Meet&Mingle last night at our church. Everyone with their families showed up. All together we're a group of 40. Everyone brought some snack food .... chips and dips... cookies.... fruit salad.... beer,soda, ingredients for Dark & Stormies.

For the first 1/2 hour it was the ususal, what's your name, and who do you know from this group... then the obligatory forced chit-chat.................. but all of a sudden the ice was broken and for the remaining 1 1/2 we all had such a good time talking about our plans,how we were getting to the pier, what we were doing on the ship.... etc. etc. etc. At the end lots of hugs and hand shakes and big smiles saying SEE YOU AT THE PIER ON SUNDAY. I think this was a great idea to do! All the formalities are behind us and although we will need more time to remember names, we do know each other by face now and it seems to be a great group sailing.
When we got home, we relaxed a bit, and went to sleep. Luckily my sciatica didn't kick in and keep me from falling asleep.

Today will be a "usual" day... chores, work, eat dinner, & relax. The weather is actually very nice, so far. Warm, a bit humid but the sun is out.

Good Morning Everyone!

Finally getting caught up here at work and home from vacation - - sometimes I need a vacation from my vacation! lol

I know everyone sailing this week is going to have a blast - - take plenty of photos to share. Sure looking forward to hearing about Bermuda - would still like to go there someday.

Big party this weekend for our friends son that is getting married next month. We are having a "Backyard Vinyard" party. Should be alot of fun.

Nothing else big on my scale. You all have safe travels and everyone have a great day!

Bon Voyage Alaska cruisers. I am jealous. Have a wonderful safe journey.

Well we had a night of light showers. Most of Denver proper, south of us and north and east of us got hammered with rain. We were like the donut hole in the storms and only got a few showers. Parts of Denver and about 15 other counties were under tornado warnings. Funnel clouds were spotted but nothing serious happened thank goodness. Today will be the frist day since early June that we will be below 80. But boy is is ever humid. 93% humidity today. More rain later and boy do we need it I hope we get more than a drizzle or two in Golden.

I woke up this morning my allergies out of control. My eyes are cloudy and watery. I'm wondering if it was partly because our maintenance man changed ceiling tiles here at work yesterday. What a mess that made, I had powder and dust everywhere. I kind of think that is my issue with my eyes today.

I'm just looking forward to the weekend for some R & R and to take care of some things I have neglected. The Olympics start tomorrow and I will watch what I can from time to time.

Other than that it is all about the same. Everyone have a great day.

I am all packed and almost ready to go. Just have to put the toiletries in at the last minute and pack the garment bag.

Good morning. Looking forward to seeing my addict friends on Saturday. By then hopefully the pacific northwest will have cooled down and the air quality will have improved!! It was lousy yesterday and doesn't appear much better today!

I finished my book- Nora Roberts High Noon. It was excellent. Now the next book will seem dull!

Getting my hair done in a few minutes so I better get a move on.

Good morning...

I'm excited about the Alaska cruises and I'm not even going!?!? Can't wait to hear all about it

Woke up with a migraine today, took the meds and now it's winding down. I believe our weather has something to do with it. We are cooling down a bit, should be in the 78-80 degree range for a bit.

DS called last night, having some issues with the previous landlord (be very careful, Glo) and I hope he can straighten things out. Seems the realtor that handled everything told him that utilities were included. Now they have sent him a bill for three months. Nothing in writing, of course. This will be a valuable learning experience for him. It does no good talking to them, they have to learn for themselves. Next time, he'll get it in writing.

Waiting to hear the results of some tests for someone very close to me. Hoping for good news so the next step can be completed. Keeping good thoughts here.

Have a good Thursday...(I can't wait until Survivor starts back up again)

Good morning Fellow @ddicts! ! ! I KNOW you guys are going to have a good time Maw, but I have to say it anyway, I really do hope you have a blast. Wish we were going to be with you, but we will follow in just a months time.

Personally, I think hearing about Favre in the news is getting as frustrating as the political ads leading up to an election. That prima donna just needs to fade away. Yes he hold records and will be a hall of famer, but enough is enough! Just MY opinion though . . . .

Today is our Friday so we will enjoy a three day weekend. Will try to visit the fair tomorrow if the weather cooperates. Had a nice afternoon again yesterday, but rain came back this morning. We will see how it works out.

Morning Maw (though you are probably on the road by now) and Ramblers all...

It's a strange morning here..very hazy. It was hot yesterday so expecting more of the same today. Good thing the AC works!!

Time for a new couch and chair for the living room. Little doggie (which one was not determined) came in this morning and started scrabbling on the cushion of the chair....made a nice hole! Of course he didn't ruin anything that wasn't already on it's last legs. The covering of this set was just cotton and it has seen a lot of wear over the years. I had already mentioned that the whole thing was becoming threadbare and it was time to go in search of a new suite!! So, maybe that will be on the agenda this weekend. In the meantime the cushion has just been flipped over. (Anyone want to lay bets on how long it's going to remain in my living room that way???) :grin

To Maw and Paw and all the other cruisers leaving this weekend....have a safe and happy journey. Come back relaxed, happy and prepared to make plans for the next one.

I am reasonably sure that I am too late but I am sending out my biggest Bon Voyages to all cruisers this week and I cannot wait to hear all about your cruises!

Maw/Jan/Denise and all Alaska cruisers - Safe travels and have the most fun you can!!! Wish I was there with you!

Herb - I love your get together ahead of time - bet that will make for more relaxed conversation onboard since you'll now be with old friends! Have a great time in Bermuda - Can't wait to hear about your cruise since I am heading back to Bermuda myself in a few months.

Judy - I hope your allergies calm down soon!

Reggae - Migraines are the pits - hope yours is gone by now.

Tobyn - I felt that way about Manny & all his press prior to being sent to CA. I said "Good Riddance" when he disrepected the fans his final morning in Boston and then sent a message to the fans after he was in CA. Shut up and play the game is what I say.

Donna - A big Thank You for keeping the ramble going while Maw off travelling!
