Maw is Worry Wart--Help

Okay gang I just like to make sure things are nailed down and really arranged for --think I may be getting to old for all these details.

as I have mentioned we will be flying into St Petersburg-Clearwater airport I did not realize when I made reservations the difference between it and Tampa.It appears my hotel reservations are at the Embassy Suites-Airport/westshore . Now is this where the rest of you have reservations?

Thank you Grandma Ann for offering to help with the transportation of scooters we may have to take you up on this. I called shuttle and talked with them they wanted $150 just from iairport to hotel-----we will still need to get from hotel to port and port to airport. I did not want to buy the shuttle. Darn expensive. Called Yellow Cab today they can pick us up at airport for $28.00 each but they can not come to poort and pick us up to go b ack to airport---boy can rules be a pain. Just ned to find resonable transportation for us and the soooters.

Beginning to believe Paw was right drive down and rent scooters on line.

Have been doing some serching this afternoon --called Care VBacations and found out they do have shuittle transportation in most ports for a mer $425.00 they will pick us up at airpoort, take us to hotel, pick us up the next morning and take us to port and pickus up at port and take us and scooters back to airport------

Or we can rent scooters for $195 each and have them at state room waiting for us. Then we can take rgular transportation from airport and hotel and cruise port.

Paw really seems more in favor of renting as he doesn't have to load and unload them in Springfield--Brenda or Mark is usually helping at KC and he admits it is getting pretty hard on him to do it.

So--still just checking to see what options there are.

Hummmmm if you got wheel chair assistance at both ends of the airports are you both up to walking at the overnight hotel until you get to the port and the scooters on the ship?

Niecie the walking part is what is worrying Paw but wether we bring our scooters still have to park at airport and get to waiting room. Paw is starting to say all this is not worth it. So far I have a quoate price of $425 to transport us and scooters everyplace. Rent scooters for $195 each in state room. We still have taxi or something to make the rounds. Hate working out details. lol

maw U are NOT a worry wart .. U are just giving Cousin E some MORE computer searching to do. :cheer: I have checked out Super Shuttle and their fare from St Pete airport to the hotel for 2 if $67. The fare is $42 for getting from Channelside back to the St. Pete airport. For questions U can call 1-800-258-3826 and they should be able to help U out ... I spokewith a VERY informative gent named Charles. He recommended calling soon as the handicap accessible vans get booked up early. It probably would good to talk to them about the scooters but as U have used them before U probably have some idea as to their capabilities.

As for transportation to the pier from the hotel they supposedly have a shuttle that they use and the cost is reasonable at $10 per person. So that should suffice for that transportation. :doubleup: The scooters I would think could go on that shuttle but if NOT perhaps Gramma Ann can get them in their van with our assistance and we can get them down to the port prior to US taking the shuttle.

The Springfield airport assistance one area that U probably have MORE of an idea that I do. I would hope that there would be some assistance at the airport that could assist U. Perhaps a call to the airport to see what might be available. :boogie:

Have reservations with Super Shuttle froim Clearwater St. Petes on 15th 67 total for us and chair. They will then pick us up at port and take us back to airplane

I sure will sleep better now--just will be looking for something else to worry abt---wrong.
