a docdance, of a different sort =docdance
it's a Happy Dance... and the doc is the lien of my car; I just paid it off. :dance :dance

now I no longer have a car payment :dance

The title has been electronically sent to the DMV, and I'll get my copy in the mail. We have paperless titles here now. I do get a letter of release of lien from the bank, though.

:jump :dance B)

Congratulations! That is wonderful!

I hear ya Joanne - - I have a 98 Taurus with 64,000 miles and I drive 12 miles back and forth to work. Hubby keeps saying get a new car and I saw I am driving this one till it falls apart in the streets! lol No need for a big car payment. I can use that else where.

:grin thanks

well, once a financial advisor advised me that you should only buy used cars and not buy a new one, unless you have to... this is just wasted money... Koolaid has a used BMW-- he really wanted a BMW, and we wanted to try to keep it reasonable.

I hope on keeping my Forester for a couple more years, at least. It's a 2003 with only 28K on it, and brand new tires -- Maybe it can be Paco's first car. (Paco is Oliver for those who don't know yet :) ) He turns 12 this weekend.

That's fantastic! Congrats. Does this mean we'll stand a better chance of seeing you on a cruise?

It is a great feeling having no car payments, congrats Hucc. We payed one of our cars off when Tori was born to get rid of one more bill as we went down to one income. Then when I left UPS last year we got rid of Irene's Land Rover huge car payment and bought her a 2007 Hummer. No payments on 2 cars that should last us for a long time (Hummer has a 10 year warranty)

Way to go, Hucc, it's a wonderful feeling! I paid my house off last year and was thrilled.
