LAUNDRY OR LIFT

I have a choice to stay next to the laundry or the lift. I plan on doing laundry twice on the cruise. Has anyone ever stayed next to either. How is the noise level?

They are not really that noisy, besides most laundry will be done during the daytime or early evening anyway.
