I am sure that we will have a great time there. this will be my first
time there. if it like Cococay, the other private island of RCCL,. we were
there in 1994. I look at the photos of Cococay the other day ( I was couple pounds lighter and looking younger)
I hope there are no jellyfish in the water, there was lots at Cococay.
From the photos you have shown us and the reviews I have been reading, looks
like we will have a great time.
One question. can we buy our drinks with our cruise pass card or do we have to pay
cash!

Now that is a good question Earl. The last time I was there many years ago it was cash only. I am presuming that if its like most of the other private islands it will still be a cash purchase. It is something we will have to inquire about though. :thumb

When I went to Half moon cay, they only accepted my cruise card, no money, Cococay I was there 14 years ago
i can`t remember how i paid for the drinks

Earl ... U can NOT remember how MANY drink U had on Coco Cay bacause of the # of years passed or because of the # of drinks U had??? :grin A few years back as in 7 :lol when we stopped at Coco Cay it was a cash ONLY situation unlees I myself also had too MANY refreshments which is entirely possible. :grin

I ask on the RCCL board, I got a answer at once. You charge your drinks to cruise card
and anything you buy from the local merchants is cash only!!! I thought it was
fence off, to keep the locals from mingling with the passengers.

:thumb Thanx for getting a quick answer earl. Wish Princess would do the same thing on their Private Island stop.

I just love the beach. I can't think of a better way to pass a day. Too bad we can't stay there longer

We are ready for the beach, some shade, a few drinks, the water, and digging our toes into the sand!!! :)

Bring it on!!!

I went through most of the board and put the info on most of the ports into a "sticky" at the top of the board,
let me know if there is more to add.

This will be our first time here and I am looking forward to it. Leatherneck has been to Haiti before for I think it was a month....but that was "work"...he was at the American Embassy inspecting contract files.
