Kitchen Sink Brownies...and cruising..

Cruise cutie

Staff Captain
they travel well..:D..had a few inquiries for upcoming events..

I use THREE boxes of brownie mix..mix and match..

ie fudge, chocolate, family style ; peanut butter or walnuts brands..
bake at 325 degrees...
pre-spray with Pam spray to an 11x15 pan..
if a cake pan use 2 boxes Brownie mix...

assemble in bowl as per directions ie..Oil ,eggs, water amounts...
mix well..scrape into pan... then here's the kitchen sink part I sprinkle on peanut butter chips, chocolate chips, caramels cut into 1/4ths, coconut, chopped nuts, heath bar crumble etc....
:D everything BUT the Kitchen sink.. and 30 minutes into the baking I add ON miniature marshmallows.. (and they expand-so not TOO close to the edge of pan)..:) now remember this takes a MINIMUM of an hour & 1/2 to bake..and it's the time test toothpick method..when it comes out clean they are done..slow and low temps is the key..

enjoy!!

However, you saved yourself by including nuts in the "kitchen sink"!!!:)

Those sound very good! May give them a try. I am going thru a few recipes to take to our poker get together this weekend.

These would be very good at Christmas when I have all these leftovers from baking too. Thanks for sharing.

Joanne those sure sound to die for. I wonder how you can cook things like that and not eat them. I wish I worked where you7 do on Fridays. I have been thinking abt sneaking in some brownies but they would not be very good afterr reading this. Enjoy time with son.

Joanne, I was thinking about the brownies all night long, Like Corky, I put ten pounds on. They sound so so so good. I can taste them now

I usually just lurk, but this was too good to pass up.

I always substitute (cooled) leftover coffee instead of water for a touch of mocha flavor.

The recipe sounds yummy. Thanks.

LMAO!!!! i never in a million years would have thought i would hear nuts, and kitchen sink in the same sentence....

These put my brownies to shame  Next time someone asks me to bring my brownies I will have to try these and tell them that they are your
brownies :)

JK, I would love to make this just us but it is to much -- can you imagine having all those brownies in your house.

Jeanie, NO WAY would I make it just for even Steve, Emily and I but I will have to try it. Maybe for Thanksgiving or bake them and take them up to my daughter in Lawrence around her birthday in December. Emily and I got so sick on Halloween candy that was left over that she threw out ALL of the leftovers on Tuesday. There was some really good stuff :D I am afraid those brownies would do the same to us.

Mary Ann.. I do not know about you.. but that sure shot my diet.

ladybug.... I like your coffee tip. thanks to you and to Cutes..... you will both get the bill for the expanded cruise clothes...

Joanne sent me this recipe some time ago and I've made these several times. We don't do nuts but everything else goes in them! They are fabulous and friends I've served them to know they come from my "cruising cyber friend!"

I've not tried 3 boxes of brownies yet though and I also have to bake mine at 300 degrees as my oven bakes too hot.

If you love chocolate you'll love these.

K.

I wonder how these would be if I used the Ghirardelli Triple Chocolate Brownie Mix and added a lot of those extra ingredients Cutie was talking about. This mix is awesome without extra stuff. I am definitely going to have to try these now. I bake cookies and add lots of "stuff" like Cutie does to her brownies but I am sure that these brownies are much better!!!!

I ALWAYS put choco chips in my brownie mix. Coconut sounds awesome...like a giant Mounds bar :clap:I don't know about the different mixes together tho...sounds kind of strange to me, tho I know Joanne has been making these for eons and gets raves. And I think I would skip the marshmallows too...don't they get hard and yukky when they sit?

Today when I was at the store, in the holiday baking section, I found bags of caramel pieces. They were in little round pieces. I was thinking they would be perfect for this recipe!
